The weekend is almost upon us!
So why not try my new recipe: my vegan, gluten-free chickpea polenta tart. Even if you don't like polenta you will like this recipe, I promise you! It's really easy to make, cheap and it's super versatile. Either as perfect picnic companion, for breakfast or even as high protein snack. You can eat it either hot or cold, on its own or with a vegan spread like hummus!
I've also been enjoying the culinary vegan treats London has to offer. Have a look below and check out where I've been!

This vegan quiche is the perfect picnic food! It's super easy and quick to make, cheap and you can have it hot or cold. It's gluten-free as well and tastes incredible either on it's own or with some hummus or other vegan dip. You can also have it for breakfast or as a party dish as well, it's that versatile.
Let's start with the restaurant I probably go most: Tibits. They already have two restaurants in London and lots more in Switzerland and a few in Germany. I love their buffet restaurant where you can pick and choose whatever you like - from savoury salads, mains, sides to delicious desserts. My friend and I visited on a Sunday, just after we visited the Tate Modern (it's right behind the museum on Southwark Street).
It really is hard not to overfill your plate with all the delicious food they offer. Not all is vegan but I think by now a majority of dishes are. And once a week they have a vegan day where all dishes are plant-based.
And because you also need to reward yourself, I checked out the new vegan afternoon tea at 108 Pantry in Marylebone, London. It was my friend's birthday so time to indulge a little. And not only did they have vegan #scones, which I really liked but also cute little sandwiches with classic fillings like cucumber, avocado, grilled aubergine and my favourite, bbq baked sweet potato (I am not even a big fan of sweet potato but I loved this filling).
This was followed by a blueberry cheese cake. a chocolate brownie, a very nice lemon drizzle cake and my absolute favourite, the salted caramel slice toffee popcorn (my mouth is watering as I write this). AND we also had English sparkling wine - the best I ever had - trust my smile hehe (I admit in the past I haven’t been a fan of English wine, but this one convinced me!) So if you are ever in Marylebone, check out this place.
